Malaga AirportPablo Ruiz Picasso Airport
Malaga Airport, also known as Pablo Ruiz Picasso Airport, is located about 8Km southwest of the city, it is a great hub to reach all of the Costa Del Sol. Each year this airport exceeds record passenger numbers due in part to the large number of expats who have made the Costa del Sol their home and the increasing number of holiday homeowners. Terminals The Malaga airport has three terminals:
Transportation, trains, buses, shuttles and private transports... There are several ways to get to and from the airport depending on your preference and budget. The train station is located in Terminal 3. The train ride takes approximately 12 minutes to Malaga City. You can purchase the train tickets at the machine located in the platform. Check additional destinations and time tables at RENFE. Busses usually run every 20-25 minutes: C19 City bus will take you from Malaga airport to Malaga City. The first bus departs from the airport at 7:00am and on most days it runs till midnight. If you are taking the bus to the airport the first departure is at 6:30am and the last one around 11:30pm. There is a new bus line departing from the arrivals area of the new Terminal 3, Line 75, which will take you from the airport to the city center in about 25 minutes at a cost of 2,00€ . You will find them outside the arrivals area. Please note that Malaga Airport Taxis can only take a maximum of 4 people including any children, if there are more than 4 people then it is advisable to book Private Airport Transfer. The main taxi stops can be found outside arrivals area of Terminal 1 and at the departure area of Terminal 3. Taxis have a surcharge which is applied at different times of the day. Supplementt to/from airport: €5. As a rough guide you should allow around 75€ to get to Puerto Banus or Marbella. Establish the price before you get into the taxi and if you are staying in the Marbella area ask the driver to use the peaje (toll road) It is an extra €5 in the summer but is far far safer and the journey times are far more predictable. If you want to have the piece of mind of having someone either waiting for you at the airport or you rather book a shuttle ahead of time and lock in your price A 2 B Transfer is A very convenient service is to pre-book a Private Airport Transfer and have a driver meet you and take you to your destination. Vehicles are available for all group sizes and to all destinations. However you decide to go, you are sure to have wonderful time getting there....
