Alicante Airport


Alicante Airport is 9 Km southest of Alicante on the east coast of Spain.  Originally named El Altet is the sixth busiest airport in Spain and it is the gateway to the Costa Blanca as very well know tourist destination.

The airport currently has two terminals with another one under construction and due to be finished in 2011.

There are several ways to get to and from the airport depending on your preference and budget.

The No.C6 bus has a stop in front of the arrivals are and leave every 40 minutes.  You will also find bus service to Benidorm and Murcia in the same location but these leave less frequently.  Make sure to check out the schedules before you go.


The taxi stand is located outside the arrivals terminal:

Fare 1 - Regular hours will cost approximately as follows:  Alicante 16€, Altea 65€, Benidorm 63€, Calpe 75€, Denia 105€, Torrevieja 47€.

Fare 2 - At night-time and public holidays will cost approximately as follows:  Alicante 19€, Altea 78€, Benidorm 73€, Calpe 90€, Denia 125€, Torrevieja 55€.

All taxis have price meters and are strictly controlled by the authorities. 


 Private Transfers

A very convenient service is to pre-book a  Private Airport Transfer and have a driver meet you and take you to your destination.  Vehicles are available for all group sizes and to all destinations.

However you decide to go, you are sure to have wonderful time getting there....
